Leosmak High-Performance Vacuum Pump Oil

It's the vacuum-pump oil for oil-sealed (rotary-vane / two-stage) pumps. The oil seals and lubricates the pump so it can pull and hold the deep vacuum freeze-drying needs. Oil-sealed pumps must have clean oil to reach full vacuum.

As a guide, change it every few hundred operating hours or whenever it looks cloudy, milky or discoloured — freeze-drying pulls a lot of water vapour, which contaminates oil over time. Clean oil is the cheapest way to protect vacuum performance and pump life. Always follow your pump's manual for the exact interval.

Keep at least one full oil change on the shelf plus a top-up, so a routine service never means downtime waiting on a delivery. Buying the larger volume lowers your cost per change if you run the machine hard.

If oil changes and disposal are a hassle in your space, the oil-free pump option on most machines removes them entirely — at a higher up-front cost. For occasional users, an oil-sealed pump plus stocked oil is usually the cheaper route.
